Taking a quick break from all the preparation for our appearance on the a href="http://www.lovesystems.com/tyra-banks"Tyra Banks pick up artist (PUA) show/a. I was checking into some of the stuff that happened last week, and I noticed some pretty interesting reactions to a href="http://www.asylum.com/2009/07/08/pickup-tips-from-pickup-boot-camp/"Emily McCombs asylum article /aabout Love Systems.br /br /On one hand you have the a href="http://www.asylum.com/2009/07/08/pickup-tips-from-pickup-boot-camp/#comments"comments section on asylum/a - with a pretty negative tone to what a href="http://www.lovesystems.com/mystery-method"Love Systems (the old Mystery Method)/a does. On the other hand, on a href="http://www.theattractionforums.com/discussion/99823-female-journalist-comes-love-systems-bootcamp-admits-love-systems-formerly-mystery-method-corp-would-have-worked-her.html"The Attraction Forums/a, you have the opposite reaction, and even surprise that this stuff is still up for debate.br /br /So far, no big deal. You'd expect people who are a little more familiar with a field to be able to sort quicker through the stereotypes and misperceptions than someone who is completely new.br /br /Where it gets weird is comparing the reaction to the Asylum article to a href="http://www.boston.com/lifestyle/relationships/articles/2009/04/15/learning_their_lines/"the reaction to Meredith Goldstein's article in the Boston Globe/a. In that piece (a href="http://therealsavoy.blogspot.com/2009/04/love-systems-responds-to-boston-globe.html"our reaction here/a), a lot of the commentors were defending Love Systems, saying we're just giving women what they want. (That makes sense to me...if it didn't work, we wouldn't teach it. We teach what works, and what works is what women respond to.)br /br /So...a woman sits in on a a href="http://www.lovesystems.com/bootcamps"Love Systems bootcamp/a and writes about how good it was. She gets slammed.br /br /Another woman sits in on a a href="http://www.lovesystems.com/bootcamps"Love Systems seminar/a and admits that it works, but says it's wrong and maniupulative. She gets slammed.br /br /So I guess whatever position you take on Love Systems, for or against, you'll get slammed. I think there's just a lot of negativity in the world, especially online. It's always easier to tear something down than it is to build it.br /br /And on that note, the comment section here is open :)div class="blogger-post-footer"img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/5610487329075072890-1527252242332941430?l=therealsavoy.blogspot.com'//divimg src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/therealsavoyls/~4/cF90-PsgUBo" height="1" width="1"/
